TIME              : 6.30 -10.30pm

Please bring along your membership card and only members of ICLS are allowed to enter the lecture theatre. Members who are attending the AGM must be in formal/semi formal attire . All members are compulsory to attend this meeting.

After 2008 successful Saraswathy Poojai, here we are back again for this year to organize Saraswathy Poojai 2009 by I.C.L.S.  This is the 3^rd time we are organizing this special event. This event is carried out in conjunction with navarathiri festival. There are a lot of activities being carry out during this poojai like “ homam”,  “maha abishegem”, special prayers, “bhajan”, traditional dance, pot breaking competition and special “ananthanam”.

Venue : Kuil Subramaniam, Kg. Bestari Jaya

Time    : 3.00 pm – 10.30pm

Tickets are available daily starts from 15 September 2009 to 27 September (except on mid-term break) at Pusat Komuniti Pelajar (PKP) from 12.00noon – 11.00pm.

This is the 3^rd time we are organizing this prayer. For the first time we are inviting the senior citizens from Jasheira old folks home in Batang Berjuntai to be a part in prayers. There will be abishegem, bhajan and special prayers during the prayers. We would also like to welcome all the Unisel students to join this prayer. Futher information regarding this prayers are as follows;

Time : 6.00pm – 10.00pm

Venue : Kuil Sri Maha Kamiamman, Kampung Bestari Jaya

Food will be served at the end of the prayers and we are expecting some financial contribution towards this program. All the money donated will be given to the ashramam.

300 UPSR Tamil school student will be attending this program from Kuala Selangor district.

The objective of this event is to educate the student on method of answering papers during the UPSR examination and to

motivate the student to motivate the student to overcome their fears when I sitting for their examination.

During the camp, there will be many activities conducted such as motivational talk, workshop on all subject, simple activities and games.

On the 28 June 2009, I.C.L.S was presence to “Sri Lankan War Victims Relief Fund” which held in Sungai Buloh. An amount of RM 280.00 had been donated by I.C.L.S  towards the fund. The I.C.L.S’s Presiden attend and handover the donation personally during the event. This fund is collected to be used for the Sri lanka war victims. The money donated is being flow through “World Tamil Relief Fund” to be distribute.Thank you to all Unisel I.C.L.S. members for your support. It is very kind of you all.

ATTIRE : Sports attire

PAYMENT : Fees is free for this month (MARCH)

Silambam is a martial art which is developing very well in our country. This event is will be introduced during the 2010 SUKMA games.

Tamil Foundation is looking for facilitators & Volunteers for their projects, which are conducted for Tamil Schools:

• State Level Science Fairs & National Level Science Fairs  ( Facilitators to conduct experiments to the respective schools duringvisiting before the Science Fair and also to assist Tamil Foundation on the day of the event itself)
• Young Nature Campers ( YNC ) – (Outdoor 2 day–1 night Camp–Weekends Only)
• English Enrichment Programme (Volunteers to teach English–for Standard 1 kids)- every Saturday , 9am – 12 noon
• Young Scientific Discoverers (YSD) – This project is being conducted only in Klang right now with the HYO Volunteers. We would like to expand it to KL if we obtain good & enough facilitators.
•  Sports Development Programme (SDP) -  Hockey training for teachers last year & to have Hockey Tournament among the Tamil Schools in Selangor – Wilayah this year. We intend to have track tournament for the Tamil School this year but we are lack of resources – trainers – funding.
